Hutt City

Hutt City (the second largest city in the Wellington region) lies on the northern and eastern shores of the Wellington harbour.

To the north the city extends up the Hutt Valley along the banks of the Hutt River from Petone to Stokes Valley, and includes Belmont Regional Park to the West.

To the east Hutt City encompasses Wainuiomata, Eastbourne and the native bush wilderness area of Rimutaka Forest Park. And at the southern extremities is the rugged and unspoilt beauty of Pencarrow and Baring heads, and the East Harbour Regional Park.

The variety of landscapes that await visitors is matched by the variety of shopping, café, dining, and arts and cultural experiences on offer.

With the historic and funky Jackson St in Petone, the seaside village atmosphere and beaches of Eastbourne, The Dowse (NZ’s leading contemporary art and design museum), and the High Street and malls of the central Lower Hutt area; there’s something for everyone in Hutt City!
